The price of a gallon of gasoline in Houston as well as the rest of Texas has risen another two cents this week.
According to AAA Texas, the average price of regular unleaded gasoline is now at $3.59; the national average saw a spike in gasoline prices of two cents to $3.76.
AAA Texas also reports that spring break travelers in Texas should expect to pay approximately $50 for a 14-gallon fill-up; it’s a price that is about $2 higher than what travelers paid about 12 months ago.
The city of El Paso has the most expensive gas with the average reported at $3.66. Amarillo, Texas has the cheapest price for a gallon of gas with a gallon reportedly at about $3.41. Oil prices remained flat the past week.
