President Barack Obama currently has a schedule packed with visits to various cities that include meet and greet sessions with constituants and opportunities to raise money during fundraising events and receptions. Earlier this month, Mr. Obama visited North Carolina and during that visit, he toured the Daimler Trucks North America plant. His fundraising continues in Houston Friday, as Mr. Obama is scheduled to attend two fundraising events.
Former President Bill Clinton has agreed to make joint appearances with President Obama at a series of campaign fundraisers. According to reports, the The two presidents will appear together at events in the coming months in Los Angeles, Chicago and New York. During the President’s last fundraising trip to New York, he raised raised $5 million.
With two fundraisers scheduled in Houston on Friday, Mr. Obama will attend the first fundraiser event out at Union Station at Minute Maid Park at 3:30 p.m. Tickets for the fundraiser are $500; a photo reception will also take place with ticket prices being $10,000 per person or $15,000 for two people.
At 6 p.m., President Obama is scheduled to appear at a $38,500-per-head fundraising dinner at the River Oaks home of Dina Alsowayel and Tony Chase.
He is slated to depart Houston, Texas at approximately 9:00 PM. Mr. Obama has fundraising events in Chicago and Atlanta following his visit to Houston.
