The nine children and two adults injured after a SUV they were riding in flipped on the North Freeway on Thursday are expected to fully recover from their injuries. The accident happened on Interstate 45 at about 6:30 P.M. Thursday when a car cut them off. The vehicle the children and adults were riding in was traveling north on the interstate. One 12-year-old girl was ejected as the vehicle swerved, then flipped over the median. The SUV then landed in the southbound lanes near Spring Steubner. That girl and two other children were taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital by Life Flight.
The two adults who were in the vehicle were also hurt. In total, all eleven passengers are expected to survive their injuries. Reportedly, all of the eleven passengers in the car were wearing seat belts, including the 12-year-old girl who was ejected from the car.
