Led by a season-high 25 points from Michael Redd off the bench, the Phoenix Suns were victorious in NBA basketball action against the Houston Rockets on Sunday in Phoenix. The Phoenix Suns team is now just one-half game behind the Rockets for the eighth spot in the West and with the victory secure their first four-game winning streak of the season.The Rockets were without starting point guard Kyle Lowry and starting shooting guard Kevin Martin and they seemed to show signs of lethargy after playing and losing a close game against the Clippers the night before.
Channing Frye contributed 19 points and eight rebounds in Sunday’s game while Marcin Gortat added 15 points and ten rebounds. Steve Nash finished with four points and 11 assists. The Rockets were led by Luis Scola’s 18 points while Goran Dragic added 16 points and eight assists. The Houston Rockets only shot 43% from the field. Nevertheless, it was a final score of 99-86, with the Suns claiming victory. The Suns now will head out on a four-game road trip through Miami, Orlando, Indiana, and Cleveland. They return home to take on the San Antonio Spurs on March 27.
