It was a glorious night in NBA action for the Houston Rockets as they claimed a basketball victory against the famed L.A. Lakers. Goran Dragic smacked the go-ahead 3-pointer with 28 seconds left and he completed his night of key scoring with 16 points and 13 assists in Houston’s 107-104 comeback victory over the Lakers Tuesday evening in Houston.
Down by nine with only 5 minutes left, the Rockets had a 12-0 run to take the lead. Luis Scola and Courtney Lee scored 23 points apiece for the Rockets. Kobe Bryant had 29 points and Pau Gasol added 21 for the Lakers. Bryant went 10 for 27 with two 3-pointers against Houston. The Lakers also had 15 turnovers and were outrebounded 40-31. Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum made 10 of 14 shots in the first quarter and the Lakers built a 40-25 lead. But it was the Houston Rockets who prevailed over the Lakers for a final score of 107-104.
