The Sugar Land police department is looking for a woman of Middle Eastern descent who stole rugs valued at $12,500 from Star Furniture on Southwest Freeway on March 7. According to reports, the woman entered the store and then left the store several times. She was captured on surveillance video removing a tag from a $200 rug and using the tag to pay for another rug that was valued at $7,500. The woman then left the store and returned a few minutes later with a different rug. She proceeded to place the second rug on the floor, picked up a third rug listed at $5,000 and left the store again. The woman is described as standing five feet five inches tall and weighing approximately 120 pounds. She is also described as having black or dark brown hair. She spoke both Arabic and English languages and smelled of cigarette smoke. According to a witness account, the woman left the store in a black or dark blue Nissan.
