The autopsy is complete and the toxicology report is in.
According to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office, Whitney Houston’s official cause of death is “drowning and effects of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use.”
These findings come after the songstress, 48, was found in the bathtub of her hotel room in Beverly Hills on February 11. Her death was ruled an “accident.”
The report goes on to mention that “cocaine and metabolites were identified and were contributory to the death.” The report also states that marijuana, Xanax, Benadryl were among the drugs identified in her system but there were not thought to have contributed to her death.
