A mother and daughter are accused of teaming up and robbing a bank in Gulfport Mississippi. The crime reportedly happened at about 1:00pm on Monday. According to reports, the duo was arrested Monday and charged with armed robbery of a Gulfport bank. According to authorities, Evie Herrin and her daughter Amelia Crew both of Cleveland, robbed the Regions Bank on Highway 49 in Gulfport.
As officers were en route to respond to the incident, they were given a description of the suspects’ car and spotted the car heading eastbound on I-10. Police stopped the vehicle and took the mother and her daughter into custody without incident. Additional reports indicate that investigators found the money that was stolen from the bank in the women’s car. As of Tuesday, Herrin and Crew were being held in the Harrison County Adult Detention Facility on $200,000 bond. The FBI is assisting in the ongoing investigation of the bank robbery.
