Authorities are investigating two bank robberies that took place in Montgomery County Thursday. According to reports the banks were robbed within a few hours from each other and due tot that fact, investigators are trying to determine if the crimes are connected. Additional reports indicate that the Shenandoah police said the Citibank on Interstate 45 near Tamina Road was held up at approximately 11:30 A.M. and the second robbery happened at the Chase Bank on Interstate 45 near F.M. 3083. It was robbed shortly before 2:00 P.M. on Thursday.
During the robbery at the Citibank, the suspect is described as a black man about 20 years old and standing approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall. He was wearing a long-sleeved gray T-shirt and a baseball cap at the time of the robbery.
The man that robbed the Chase Bank is described as a black and tall. He was reportedly wearing baggy blue jeans and a baseball cap. Investigators say they plan to study surveillance video to see if the same man robbed both banks. Anyone with information is urged to call Montgomery County Crime Stoppers at 800-392-STOP.
