The Houston Rockets Win Against Memphis Grizzlies In Friday Night Basketball Action

On Friday night, in Houston Rockets basketball action, Marcus Camby had 16 rebounds, six blocked shots and two key baskets that helped the Rockets beat the Memphis Grizzlies 98-89. Camby was signed earlier this month in the hopes that the basketball veteran would help the Rockets secure a postseason spot. Camby joined the Rockets on March 15.
Goran Dragic scored a season-high of 25 points while Courtney Lee added 17 to give Houston its 12th straight win at home against Memphis. The Rockets led by six with 1:22 remaining before Camby made two baskets around a layup by Rudy Gay. Camby then finished with seven points and two steals in his first start. Gay had 20 points to add to Memphis’ score.
Marc Gasol who is a starting center for Memphis returned after missing the last game with a sore right ankle. He contributed 19 points and nine rebounds. Tony Allen and O.J. Mayo each added 15 points apiece for Memphis.
Houston led by 11 points after the first quarter and scored the first six points which was enough to extend their lead 36-19. In the end, it was a victory for the Houston Rockets at the Toyota Center in Houston with a final score of 98-89.
