According to reports, a mother and her child were killed at approximately 2:30 A.M. Saturday in a hit-and-run accident in Houston. The individual is being treated as a key witness in the investigation.

Additional reports indicate that the mother and her two-year-old child were crossing Westheimer at Panagard Drive between Eldridge and Texas 6 early Saturday. They were then reportedly hit by a driver that was driving an unknown dark-colored vehicle. There is no light at the intersection. The driver of that car reportedly did not stop after hitting the mother and the child. The 24-year-old mother and her child were pronounced dead at the scene. Anyone with information is asked to call the Houston Police Department, Crime Stoppers or local law enforcement.
