Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies are looking for the driver who ran over and killed a man over the weekend. According to reports, the fatal hit-and-run accident happened around 11:30P.M. on Saturday on Tomball Parkway at Bammel North Houston in northwest Harris County. Authorities were able to identify the victim as 48-year-old Lee Roy Alcozer.
Police say that Alcozer was walking south along the right side of Tomball Parkway when an SUV heading in same direction hit and killed him. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Additional reports indicate that the driver was last seen turning west onto North Houston Rossyln. According to authorities, at least two witnesses saw the accident happen. One man watched from across the street and then tried to help Alcozer. As police continue to piece together the events that lead to the fatality they are looking for a Ford SUV, metallic green or silver in color with damage across the front of the vehicle. Pieces of the SUV were left at the scene of the accident. Anyone with information about the accident is urged to call HCSO or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
