Houston and surrounding areas will have more rain over the course of the next few days. After beginning the work week with several thunderstorms and showers, forecasters say that the rain will continue well into the week. On Monday, several areas surrounding Houston were under the threat of severe thunderstorms and other areas experienced downpours of rain.
Forecasters say that for Tuesday, there is a 50 percent chance of rain. Toward the afternoon and into the early hours of Tuesday evening is when forecasters predict heavy rainfall will come into the Houston area with the potential of some of the storms being severe. With a 20 percent chance for rain Wednesday, temperatures are expected to top into the low to mid 80s, with lows in the upper 60s to 70s. Thursday and Friday are are days that are expected to be dry with very little chance of rain.
