Veterans are commendable heros of our country. They risk their lives in the name of the United States. So during a tour of duty and during times of war, they are called upon to serve without hesitation. But many times after serving a tour of duty, veterans come home to wage another war; that war is unemployment. The “Hiring Our Heroes” job fair is a job fair that showcases jobs and professions with veterans and military spouses as the focal point.
The “Hiring Our Heros” job fair has over 500 people already registered to attend and will take place Thursday at Minute Maid Park from 11 A.M. to 3 P.M. Those who will attend will have an opportunity to speak with perspective employers and recruiters about employment solutions and positions with various companies and institutions. Some of the companies that will be represented at the job fair will be Home Depot, CenterPoint Energy and many other entities. The program created by a 20-year veteran, along with the United States Chambers of Commerce helps those who were our heros while serving abroad find stable and reputable employment with some of the nation’s leading industries.
