American Airlines is anticipating the cancellation of flights at the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport Friday as the area continues to assess damage and repair structures from this week’s storms and tornadoes. Reports indicate that the airline anticipates 297 flights will be canceled Friday. Mechanics and workers from the airline are continuing their tasks of inspecting, repairing and testing planes that were damaged due to the weather. Many of those canceled flights were either departing from or arriving into the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport.
Additional reports indicate that on Thursday, at 8:30 P.M. 55 American Airlines airplanes remained out of service. A total of 323 flights were canceled in or out of the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport.
