Australia Zoo via Getty Images(BEERWAH, Australia) — The 8-year-old son of famed wildlife expert Steve Irwin was seen feeding baby alligators at the Irwin family’s Australia zoo, following in the footsteps of his dad.

Bob Irwin has been around crocs all his life. His late father caused a sensation when he was photographed feeding a huge yapping crocodile while holding his young son in his arm.

Steve Irwin died when a sting ray’s barb struck his chest while snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef in 2006. The Irwin family, including daughter Bindi, now 14, and Bob, has continued his wildlife work at the family-owned zoo.

Bob Irwin was seen this week feeding the American alligators in front of a crowd of 200 at the zoo. As a small child, he told reporters he wanted to train to be able to feed crocodiles like his father.
