Target is scrambling to find a new egg supplier after ending its relationship with a company accused of allowing animal cruelty. This comes at a time when many consumers purchase many eggs for holiday cooking and baking.
Target spokesperson Jessica Carlson said the store apologizes for the inconvenience and is working to find a solution the problem.
Carlson says the retailer hopes to have eggs back in stock at most stores by the end of the week.
