The University of Texas in Austin called for an evacuation of all its campus buildings after threats were made Friday morning.
Officials did confirm Friday that multiple terrorist threats were called in.
Reports indicate that the university received a call just before 9:00 a.m. from a male with a middle eastern accident.
That man claimed to have placed bombs all around campus.
He also reportedly stated that he was with Al Qaeda and the bombs would go off in 90 minutes.
The university’s President Powers was notified and decided to evacuate the entire UT-Austin campus.
Although the specific type of threats were not immediately disclosed, the warning came down around 10:00 a.m. via the school’s official alerts website and Twitter account.
