A North Texas animal shelter has a 41-pound fat cat named Skinny who needs a home.
Staffers at the Richardson animal shelter are caring for the 5-year-old orange Tabby which was dropped off at the facility last week.
Shelter spokeswoman Noura Jammal told the Dallas morning news that Skinny is the biggest cat she’s ever seen, that he’s very sweet and loves to have his belly rubbed.
But Jammal says Skinny due to his heft, he has some health problems, including diabetes. The cat has trouble walking because he’s so large.
Skinny has been placed on a diet while shelter officials try to find someone to give him a loving home.
