The FBI bank robbery task force responded to three bank robberies today.
The first was a take-over style robbery that took place around 9:45 a.m. this morning at the Wells Fargo Bank, located at 2799 Fulton Street in Houston. Three individuals entered the bank and a fourth was waiting in a getaway car. They got away with cash, however quick-responding HPD patrol officers found and arrested four individuals in connection with that robbery. Those charges are pending against all of those suspects.
The second bank robbery, occurred at around 10:30 a.m. at the Compass Bank located at 14255 North Freeway in Houston. Two robbers entered the bank and handed the teller a threatening note which demanded money. They got away with some cash. The robbers are described as a black male and a black female. The female may have been a man dressed as a woman. There photos available at this time.
The third bank robbery occurred at around 11:37 a.m. at the Woodforest National Bank, located at 3506 North Highway 6. No further details are available.
