The nephew of former President George W. Bush and son of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush has launched a exploratory campaign website days after it was announced he’s filed papers to run for office in Texas.
Harris Media announced George P. Bush launched GeorgePforTexas.com on Facebook Wednesday afternoon, prompting followers to “like” the announcement if they were “ready for a conservative vision for Texas.”
The Austin-based digital advertising and marketing firm has consulted with dozens of conservative political campaigns, including the presidential bids of Texas Gov. Rick Perry, Fox News host and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, in addition to the campaign of Texas’ U.S. Senator-Elect Ted Cruz.
The Fort Worth Star Telegram reports Bush will seek the office of Texas Land Commissioner in 2014.
