Wrongfully-Convicted Man Speaks Out About The Death Penalty

One of the three men known as “The West Memphis Three” speaks in Houston about his conviction of murdering three 8-year-old boys in Arkansas and his later release after police found new evidence. Bonnie Petrie has the story:


Jason Baldwin is now an outspoken advocate for abolishing the death penalty.

Baldwin says the amount of time he spent in prison when he claims he didn’t kill those boys is evidence enough to states from putting people on death row.  He is in Houston to support the Grace Law Center, which provides good lawyers to poor people charged with capital crimes in Texas and Louisiana.
