Customs agents seized a shipment of toys and holiday lights at the port in Elizabeth, New Jersey Thursday. The products, made in China, were determined to be hazardous to children.
Here’s Inez Tenebaum, head of the Consumer Product Safety Commission:
“It bothers me when little children have access to lead that’s way beyond the limits and also when children get small parts and swallow them and it lodges and asphyxiates them,” Tenebaum said.
