NEWS 92 FM Business Editor Brent Clanton reports:
There’s good news and better news about the economy, according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis, showing personal income on the rise in all 366 metropolitan statistical areas in 2011, the first time that’s happened since before the recession.
That’s the good news. The better news is that Texas’ personal income rose nearly 1.5 percent faster than the rest of the country, and the Houston MSA led the state with a 7.9 percent growth rate in personal income.
The Texas Public Policy Foundation notes, all of Texas’ MSA’s out-performed the national average.
