The Houston Dynamo seeks its third MLS Cup title today, and Sunday offers the Texans a chance to clench a spot in the playoffs. NEWS 92 FM’s Jorge Vargas has your weekend Sports Watch for you:

Of course, it’s a big weekend for the Texans. The last two weeks have been overtime nail biters. Matt Schaub says those kind of wins build character:

Lots of injuries to report. Ryan Harris starts for Derek Newton at right tackle. Brooks Reed is out as well, which means Whitney Mercilus starts for the first time. J.J. Watt was sick earlier in the week. Here’s Coach Gary Kubiak on him:

I’m sure offenses are sick of seeing him. Kickoff time is at noon Sunday.

College Football

Stanford beat UCLA 27-24,  so they go to the Rose Bowl. Alabama and Georgia play for the SEC title, and a trip to the National Championship tonight.

High School Playoffs

In regional semis, Class 3A Navasota knocks off La Marque 31-20, as 4A Division 1 Nederland stuns Pearland Dawson 22-19 in overtime.
