(AP) — Houston is still No. 1 in the AP Pro32 NFL power rankings, and New England has moved into a tie for No. 2 just in time for Monday night’s game against the Texans.
The playoff-bound Texans (11-1) received eight first-place votes and 376 points Tuesday in balloting by The Associated Press’ panel of 12 media members who regularly cover the league. Houston is first for the fourth straight week.
The AFC East champion Patriots (9-3) move up two slots into a tie with the NFC South champion Atlanta Falcons (11-1). Both teams had 364 points with New England receiving three first-place votes and Atlanta the remaining first-place vote.
Denver is fourth and San Francisco slips three spots to fifth. Jacksonville is 32nd and last.
