Two men are in jail for robbing a bank thanks to a tip from a witness and quick action by a Fort Bend County deputy.

Luis Hernandez, 28, and Oscar Duran, 20, are facing aggravated robbery charges. Yesterday, one of the men was seen walking into the Bank of America in the 9200 block of Highway 6 with a handgun and a towel covering his face. He demanded money and the tellers complied.

Deputy K. Barrett pulled up into the bank’s parking lot and chased the suspect. He lost sight of him and returned to the bank.

A witness gave the deputies a description of the car and the license plate number. Deputies went to the address from the license plate number, went to the house, and arrested the two men.

Both are in the Fort Bend County Jail.
