This time of year is stressful for many of us because of the holidays. But one group of the population is stressed out for a different reason and, as News 92 FM’s Maria Todd reports, some four-legged relief is on the way.
While many of us are decking the halls for the holidays, the college students among us are hitting the books preparing for final exams.
Rice university is hoping to give students a break by offering some time with man’s best friend. Beginning this evening through the weekend, therapy dogs and their human handlers from Bellaire-based Faithful Paws will be in residence on the first floor at the Fondren Library on the campus. Kathy Bilnoski of Faithful Paws says it started with an e-mail.
The Fondren library will be gathering feedback from students and if all goes well this time around, the dogs could be back for finals week at the end of spring semester.
