Houston police now know the identity of the woman whose skeletal remains were found on September 17.
Officials say the remains are those of Natasha S. Hollins. The cause and manner of death have not been determined.
The remains were discovered at 6303 Cullen and Hollins, 31, lived in the same neighborhood.
Police seek the public’s help in finding out what happened to her.
Officers responded to the courtyard of an abandoned apartment complex at the above address on reports of a human skull discovered by persons evaluating the property for possible purchase. The overgrown property was searched and nearly the entire skeleton of what was believed to be an adult female was found. The remains were transported to the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences for analysis.
Anyone with information regarding Hollins’ whereabouts during the months of June, July and August of this year is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600.
