The Galveston Daily News is reporting that Island police and the beach patrol are searching for a man who reportedly jumped from the top of the Galveston Causeway.
According to the report, the man jumped around 5 p.m. Thursday. A vehicle believed to be his is parked on the causeway.
Rescue workers are searching the water below the bridge at the span’s highest point. The man reportedly jumped from the northbound side of the bridge.
