During the holiday season many parents are attempting to buy gifts from private vendors. Police say whether it’s a car or concert tickets need to beware of scam artists.
Robert Grusczynski is going to prison for eight years because he’s spent a lifetime scamming people.
Most recently he was selling fake Justin Bieber concert tickets. Montgomery County Assistant District Attorney Rob Fryer says there are a number of things you can do to protect yourself:
Speaking on The Mid-Morning Report with NEWS 92 FM’s Dennis Spellman, Fryer said Gruscynski was caught because one of the victims took a picture of him.
He says you can also take the person’s driver’s licence number or get a photocopy of the person’s driver’s licence.
If they don’t want to provide this information, then don’t buy the product.
