Police in north Texas say a 6-year-old boy is in stable condition after his dad carved a pentagram into his back.
Brent Bartel was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and is in jail.
Police say early this Wednesday morning Bartel told a 911 dispatcher he shed innocent blood and carved a pentagram on his son because it is a “holy day.”
Officers who arrived first saw blood smeared on the front door and found the child with his back almost entirely covered with a large pentagram.
Wednesday’s date is 12-12-12, a once-in-a-century event.
