A two-alarm fire burned at an assisted living center in Houston’s north side.
Houston firefighters say the fire broke out about 12:15 p.m. Thursday at the Lyerly apartments, a 5-story building located on Lyerly and Fulton.
According to Channel 13, at least one person was rescued from a ladder truck and several others were evacuated. One person was being treated for smoke inhalation and taken to a hospital. Her condition has not been released.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
