Former President George H.W. Bush is said to be improving.
Bush family spokesman Jim McGrath‘s latest statement says Mr. Bush “remains in the intensive care unit at Methodist Hospital where he continues to improve.”
He says Bush is alert and in good spirits and his exchanges with doctors and nurses now includes singing.
Speaking on The Mid-Morning Report, Dr. Owen Pickus told us why doctors become concerned when someone who is 88-years-old is fighting a fever or any other health issue.
The statement says the Bushes thank everyone for their prayers and good wishes and like their doctors are cautiously optimistic that the current course of treatment will be effective.
