Houston immigration attorney Charles Foster says the nation’s political leaders on both sides of the aisle appear really determined to pass immigration reform.
Foster says that will give millions of illegal immigrants an opportunity to remain in America, but they will have to get in line behind immigrants who entered the U.S. legally.
Foster heads up the greater Houston partnership’s task force on immigration and worked with President George W. Bush on immigration reform. He says the U.S. is simply unable to deport the estimated 11-million illegal immigrants currently in our country.
Foster says the latest efforts to improve our immigration system have come about very fast and better than he could have hoped for.
