In Tennessee, a dog owner takes his pet to a high-kill shelter to be euthanized because he suspects the dog is “gay”.
The Huffington Post confirms with Jackson Rabies Control that the dog was surrendered to them after his owner saw the pitbull/bulldog mix “humping” another male dog.
Animal experts say dogs often mount each other to express dominance, during play, or out of nervous excitement.
A Facebook campaign was set up to rescue the dog, and thankfully, he has been adopted, just hours before he was to be put down. ABC News reports that the lucky pup, named Elton, has a new forever home with a woman who already owns four other dogs.
