A man is arrested for arson after a northeast Harris County feed store erupts into flames overnight.
Harris County Fire Marshals say witnesses saw a man with a gas can walking toward the Acco Feed Store on Beaumont Highway near Beltway 8 around 9 p.m. Police arrested Ernesto Turrubiartes and charged him with felony arson.
Investigators say the suspect was fired from an auto repair shop next to the feed store and set fire to it, but the flames quickly spread to the wooden feed store.
Some chickens and other birds died in the fire.
