Investigators Seek Man Who Attacked, Sexually Assaulted Teen Girl

Investigators went to the hospital to speak with a 16-year-old who was sexually assaulted and hit in the head. News 92 FM’s Pattie Shieh tells us the girl was not a runaway but why she was walking late at night is still unclear:

The incident took place on a dark, four-lane road and not that many people were around because it was 11:00 night. that’s when a 16 year old who was walking in the 16000 block of Spring Cypress was attacked. The victim told Harris County Sheriff’s Deputies that a man 5’7″ to 5’8″ with a thin muscular build in dark clothing, dragged her about 50 yards to a nearby field.

After sexually assaulting her the suspect struck the victim several times in the head with a blunt object and then fled in an unknown direction

Thomas Gilliland with the Harris County Sheriff’s office tells us the girl, bloodied and only partially clothed, was able to get help.

She managed to cross over Spring Cypress and walk behind the school there and then across the street on Skinner into the back of the Cinemark there where patrons found her as she walked up.

Life Flight rushed the teen to the hospital. She was sedated for some time so investigators had to wait to speak with her. It does not appear she had a phone, wallet or purse with her at the time.

Anyone who may have seen the teen or her attacker on Spring Cypress around 10:30 Tuesday night is asked to call the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
