Relatives of a Super Bowl player are killed by a drunk driver from Houston. ABC News’ Alex Stone reports.
Sunday night was supposed to be a dream come true for Delanie Walker. The 49ers tight end was playing in the biggest football game on earth – the Super Bowl. But hours later he would get tragic news.
After leaving New Orleans, driving to their hotel in baton rouge, Walker’s aunt and uncle Alice and Bryan Young were hit and killed by a drunk driver.
Nechole Thomas, 26, of Houston was behind the wheel and now faces charges of vehicular homicide.
On Twitter, Walker writes “We lost some good people. They will be missed.”
