Former Texas Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison has a new job. She has joined the Houston-based law firm of Bracewell & Giuliani and will work out of its Dallas office.
Hutchison made history in 1993 when she became the first woman to represent Texas in the U.S. Senate. During her 19 years in the Senate, she served as the fourth-ranking Republican leader, a member of the Senate Banking Committee and the top Republican on the Commerce, Space and Science Committee.
The former senator says she was attracted to Bracewell & Giuliani’s “deep Texas roots” and noted that its client base works well with her areas of experience.
