FCC Clears Way for New Catholic Radio Network in Houston

The Federal Communications Commission approves the license transfer of KCOH, which was sold to the Midland-based La Promesa Foundation. That clears the way for the new owners to launch the Catholic-oriented Guadalupe Radio Network in Houston.

Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee and the Reverend Jesse Jackson objected to the transfer because the station had been producing programming for Houston’s African-American community.
