An adopted Virginia woman turns to social media in hopes of finding out more information about her birth mother from Houston.
Sabrina O’Kane, of Newport News, posted a public photo on Facebook Thursday featuring her holding two neon green posterboards with the details. She asked friends and total strangers to share the image. So far, it has been shared over 1,300 times.

Her mother, 19-year-old Amy Marie, of New Jersey, gave birth to Sabrina on Jan. 15, 1984, at St. Joseph Hospital, in Houston. O’Kane weighed 6 lbs., 13 oz. at birth, and was adopted through Catholic Charities. She may have two sisters.
“I’ve been waiting my whole life,” O’Kane writes on Facebook. “There’s gotta be someone somewhere that knows my biological mom and sisters!!”
O’Kane said all she knows of her mother is she was one of three children adopted into her family. Amy Marie was the middle child.
According to the image, her mother wrote a letter to Sabrina on the day she was born.
