Dad Of Boys Killed In Drunk Driving Crash Charged With Killing Driver

Charges have been filed against a father of two boys killed by a drunk driver as they pushed their stalled truck down a Brazoria County road in December.

Sheriff’s deputies say David Barajas is charged with murder. Accused in the fatal shooting Jose Banda, the driver of the car that slammed into the back of his sons pushing the disabled truck on County Road 144.

Both of Barajas’ sons were killed. The driver that slammed into the back of his truck, was also killed, but by a gunshot wound to the head. Police never found a weapon.

Witnesses later reported to police, that after the accident, they saw Barajas walk back to his house, return to the scene, approach Banda’s car and heard gunshots fired.
