It’s trending on Twitter. A photo of three North Dakota high school students, who briefly donned Ku Klux Klan-type robes and hoods during a state hockey semifinal game.
The photo, posted on Twitter, shows, three white hooded hockey fans, in the middle of Red River High School‘s cheering section, all dressed in white. Part of their school tradition.
The school’s principal says an investigation showed the teens wore the KKK garb for less than a minute, before fellow students told them they were being offensive. Enough time for a 19-year-old to focus his camera phone on them and shoot. The photo’s gone viral.
School officials say the incident is not representative of the student body. And appropriate action is being taken against the three.
