New Sinkhole Opens in Seffner, Flo.; Two Homes Evacuated

Seffner, Flo., the town where just weeks ago a sinkhole opened in a man’s bedroom, killing him, has experienced another cave-in.

An eight-foot wide and ten-foot deep hole opened up between two homes around 7 p.m. Saturday, according to county officials. The homes have been evacuated as a precaution.

The sinkhole is just four feet from the home Robert Lassiter shares with his mother.
