Channel 2 reports the older woman first started making small talk with a disabled 54-year-old woman — who was also recovering from a recent stroke — in a Ross store.  The victim described the older woman as being kind of pushy when she tried to help her put her shoes on. Police say while they interacted, the “bad granny” swiped her credit card.

A surveillance video shoes the thief shopping at Staples shortly after. Investigators say she also racked up charges at another store and a gas station. The investigation is ongoing.

Call the Harris County Sheriff’s Office if you have any information about who is responsible for this crime. The number is 713-967-5773.
