After a brief recess, congress returned to work Monday. Congressman Kevin Brady, republican from the Woodlands says immigration reform is going to be high on the agenda.
“My guess is that immigration reform will be front and center over this next six to eight months.”
Brady says the U.S. must do a better job of stopping the flow of undocumented immigrants and offer a path to citizenship only to immigrants who entered the u.s. legally.
“We need to close the back door on illegal immigration, so we can keep open and fix the front door of legal immigration. So those who want to come here do so, but they play by the rules.”
The congressman says the U.S. must also do a better job of securing the borders.
