Dodgers Pitcher Plays Catch with Boy in Stands

For so many little boys, playing catch with their dads is as much of an American pastime as the game of baseball itself.  There is just something so special about the simple act of putting on a baseball glove, grabbing an old beat up baseball, and tossing it back and forth with the old man.  So naturally you would expect that a game of catch between a young boy and a real major league baseball player would be even more special, if not for only that one moment in time, and your Video of the Day shows just that.

The little boy, known as “Deuce” in the video, seems to be having a blast, yet at the same time, maintains a level of poise that’s quite impressive for a kid his age.  I say that because so many people, grown up or otherwise, might have a mini freakout at the level of awesomeness that comes from getting to toss the ball back and forth with a real Los Angeles Dodger.  But not Deuce.  No, he maintains a solid composure.

Watch him live out the dream of so many young kids as he tosses the ball back and forth from the left field stands with Dodger lefty Hyun-Jin Ryu.  It’s sure to bring back a lot of memories for those who spent their youth playing catch, and for everyone else, I’m positive you’ll crack a big smile at the beauty of this little gem of a video.
