We’ve been warning you to prepare to pay for parking, and it’s just about here.

No more free parking along the Galveston seawall. The city of Galveston will launch its Seawall Boulevard Parking Program this Saturday. Beach-goers will pay a dollar an hour or eight dollars for the day. Annual passes are $25.
You won’t be able to pay with cash. Visitors will need to use their debit or credit card to pay for seawall parking.
