The Harris County Sheriff’s Department and Special Olympics are teaming up, just in time for dinner.

Harris County Sheriff Adrian Garcia and nearly two dozen deputies will trade in their badges for aprons and be among the wait-staff this evening at the Texas Roadhouse on FM 1960 at Highway 290.

It’s an effort to bring awareness about Special Olympics and collect funds for more than 40,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
But it also does something for the deputies.
Sheriff Garcia and deputies will be serving up dinner until 9 tonight.
